My name is Alicia and since January 2024 I have started using my passion in setting up an online community with informative blogs and a webshop that I strive to meet the specific needs of Bully Breeds. With this community and webshop I want to make dog owners aware of the ins and outs of the breed and everything surrounding it and also generally pay attention to all dog breeds that are seen as aggressive and uncontrollable in the media and in our society. From my parental home I grew up with a Staffordshire bull terrier (|English Stafford) and an American Stafford/Australian Shepherd/Border Collie cross. Now I live with my boyfriend in Gouda and we have a Staffordshire bull terrier ourselves.

For my work at several municipalities, I have been trained in recognizing and preventive prevention of biting incidents in combination with undesirable behavior. As a result, I have experienced several situations involving biting incidents or unwanted behavior in practice. Often due to the ignorance of owners. This is where the slogan: "A SPECIAL KIND WITH A MISTERY MIND" comes from. As a bully owner you certainly experience it regularly. They are stubborn, have a special character and are intensely strong. Most importantly, and this is probably why you chose this breed, they are so incredibly sweet, loyal, affectionate and, yes, especially cuddly.

However, there are many Bully owners who are mistaken about the strength of the breed. This causes behavioral problems that are often not identified early due to ignorance. Once you are aware of this, you can work on the bond between you and your dog. “Unfortunately” I have been one of those ignorant owners. In retrospect, I can now say that I am happy that I was able to experience that. The challenges with Paco have made me aware of my position as an owner. It was an intensive journey from which I learned a lot and continue to learn from it. During this trip I discovered that there is little for our Bully Breeds. Toys that are not Bully-proof, snacks that are not communicated honestly with far too many unnecessary and often harmful ingredients, but also muzzles that are far below standard. I could give more examples, but I think you understand what I mean. This has led to this webshop where I hope to meet the needs and quality requirements of the Bully Breed breed.
